1st Line ICT Support Technician - Blackburn, Blackburn with Darwen
Ideal Recruit has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic ICT professional / graduate to join an East Lancashire training provider as a 1st Line ICT Support Technician. The role is permanent and is based predominately in Blackburn with occasional travel required offsite.
The post is dedicated to supporting, enhancing and developing the students, employees and systems used across the entire company regarding desktop systems, servers and telecommunications support.
The candidate will develop their own skills and knowledge whilst working in conjunction with the network development and senior ICT Engineering teams. They must be able to build excellent rapport across the company, communicating and interacting with a variety of people at all levels in a professional and supportive manner to ensure quality support is provided.
• To provide first line ICT support for all computers, servers, network infrastructure and telecommunications installations. • Provide desktop support across the company where possible utilizing remote support systems. • Installation and configuration of all ICT related equipment, including wiring and cabling of hardware and network components. • To provide proactive, preventative maintenance on all ICT enabled training suites in accordance with scheduled maintenance plan. • Manage and maintain the internal job request system and provide first line telephone support to the company. • Undertake critical backup processes as defined by the Network Development Engineer. • To support the company and HR team through basic training to end users on the use of company systems. • Undertake any other ICT related duties as deemed relevant and appropriate. • To work outside of set business hours should the need arise to ensure system uptime and business continuity. • Adhere to all relevant working instructions, procedures and policies.
• Previous experience in a 1st Line Support Role is essential • Excellent communication • Understanding of Microsoft, Apple (MACOS / IOS) and Android operating systems • Troubleshooting & problem solving experience • Driving License
