The Role ADB Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced infrastructure & Systems Analyst on behalf of our client based close to Coalville. The main duties are as follows:-
Ensuring that the businesses infrastructure and systems is proactively monitored using the selected software. Ensuring that problems are rectified quickly and efficiently so that the business can operate effectively. Ensuring that problems are investigated thoroughly and information is communicated the relevant personnel in the IT team. Where problems cannot be rectified, full analysis is conducted and suggestions to progress highlighted. Providing third and fourth line support and supporting the IT helpdesk. Disseminating knowledge to the IT support desk so that issues can be dealt with quickly and efficiently. Highlighting areas of weakness within the infrastructure and systems, proposing ways to mitigate this. Infrastructure setup and configuration. Ensuring that department process and procedures are followed. Ensuring that the businesses IT security is carefully considered and that the business is adhering to the GDPR legislation. Day to day monitoring of infrastructure and systems. Configuration of monitoring software to ensure that any issues are discovered quickly and remediation’s Providing knowledge and support to the IT support team. Setting up and configuring new and existing infrastructure and systems. Ensuring the RFC process is adhered to. Ensuring that documentation on new and existing infrastructure and systems is in place to assist in knowledge transfer, etc. Ensuring that the IT helpdesk system is accurately updated and in line with SLA’s. Ensuring that backups of systems are completing and that they are tested to ensure successful restoration. Ensuring that third party infrastructure and systems are monitored effectively. Liaison with third party suppliers. Ensuring that systems and infrastructure are secure. Ensuring that the businesses IT is GDPR compliant. Input into infrastructure and systems design. Input into IT strategy. Providing proposals on the department, systems and infrastructure. Providing necessary reporting to relevant management as and when required. Project management. Ensuring that you are tidy and organised.
Your Profile In order to be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years experience within the same or similar role. The role is extremely hands on and requires the individual to be meticulous in what they do. The role involves educating users inside and outside of the IT department. A technical knowledge of SQL Server Queries & Management, Windows Server W2k3 Upwards, Active Directory Design & Management, VMware / Hyper V, LAN / WAN Topologies, Office 365, Router, Firewall & VPN Administration, Backup Administration and IT Hardware, PABX Administration, Any previous development knowledge would be an advantage, NAS / SAN Technologies, Mobile Device Management (MDM) Mobile Device Hardware, Solarwinds Configuration & Management.
