A leading global International software house, specialising in, data security and encryption services designed to protect shared information for both public and private sector customers are seeking a Linux Technical Architect to join its expanding team. As the Technical Architect (Linux) your duties will be to:
- Assist indirect technical teams to deliver the project schedule. - Produce documentation to support high level designs and detailed designs. - Build proof of concept environments. - Provide design expertise to support the IT Operations Management. - Attend customer engagements and own the business actions. - Provide progress on activities to the Solutions Director. - Define and report on design KPIs.
To be a successful Technical Architect (Linux) you will have the following skills and experience:
- Good industry understanding of regulatory and technology landscape to drive best practice in technology selection, deployment and operation. - Experience of working on UK Government projects. - Expert knowledge of the Linux Operating system ideally Red Hat / Centos. - Strong working and practical knowledge of Windows. - Experienced in architecting, designing, implementing and troubleshooting solutions. - Proven experience designing solutions for always-on availability. - Experience of working with public and private Cloud providers and managed to host. - Proven experience in delivering enterprise infrastructures which are reliable, resilient and easy to maintain. - Strong hands on skills in Networking (Layer 3 configurations) and Security products. - Knowledge of coding practices. - Strong scripting experience. - Awareness of ISO27001:2013.
You will be working between 9am and 5:30pm although flexibility is required and expected.
In return, the Technical Architect (Linux) will receive a salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum depending on experience.
